Outer Layer Shopify Site
Who doesn’t love Toronto’s quirky Queen St. West store Outer Layer? With over 10,000 products, this site tries to maintain the personality of the store while being easy to use.
The first step in building their site was to create a FileMaker database to organize, name and resize images. The FileMaker database also generates the meta-descriptions, alt-text, and HTML copy for the descriptions, saving hundreds of hours.
The second generation of this database has an API to link and upload directly to Shopify, making it 2-5 times faster to get items uploaded to the website. This has enormous savings on large sites.
We’ve also supported Outer Layer with marketing emails, large format signage and a wide assortment of other design materials.
